In Goiás and Santo André (SP), homes were severely damaged by fires started by devices on flammable surfaces. There are reports of people electrocuted due to equipment malfunctions. Businesswoman Juliana Roncarati suffered a significant electric shock while handling her device in a hotel, resulting in seizures and temporary memory loss. The origin of the equipment is also crucial. Original chargers undergo rigorous safety tests, while uncertified products can be dangerous. Checking if the accessories are registered with Anatel (the Brazilian telecommunications regulatory agency) can be decisive in preventing serious material damage and saving lives.
