"Tive vontade de me jogar da sacada", conta modelo traficada para a Espanha

This Wednesday's #SuperPop (25) featured stories about women who were lured and victims of sex trafficking in European countries. Reporter Simone Garuti spoke with a woman who preferred not to be identified and was called Letícia. She recounts being taken to the Spanish capital, Madrid, with the promise of earning a high salary as a model. Upon arriving in the Spanish capital, Letícia discovered that, in fact, the job was not modeling, but that she would be forced into prostitution. She reports having become desperate and said she even considered suicide. "I didn't know how to tell my family here. I was scared, I wanted to jump off the balcony," she said. With the help of a neighbor from the building where they were confined, Letícia managed to escape back to Brazil after waiting for 26 hours at Madrid airport. Simone Garuti had access to the recruiter's phone number, and the SuperPop production team attempted to contact her via WhatsApp and phone. The data is now in the possession of the police.
