[Acts 16:11-15, Revised] (11) We sailed from Troas to Samothrace and the next day went to Neapolis. (12) From there we came to Philippi, the first city of Macedonia and a Roman colony. We stayed in the city for several days. (13) On the Sabbath, we went out to the river outside the gate to pray, hoping there would be a place for us to pray. We sat there and spoke to the women who were gathered there. (14) When a woman named Lydia, a seller of purple cloth from Thyatira who worshiped God, was listening, the Lord opened her heart to listen to Paul. (15) She and her household were baptized, and she invited us, saying, “If you consider me a believer in the Lord, come into my house and stay.” And we urged her to stay.
