Stuart Roy Clarke at Keswick V Aspatria | Video Diary #7

Stuart Roy Clarke continues his Homes of Football journey with a visit to Keswick, the honeypot Lake District town set beneath the fells, as they take on Aspatria, or as the locals call it, “Sp-yat-ri”. Played out in January, away from the summer crowds and tourist rush, this high-scoring encounter captures a different side of the Lakes. Cold air, open skies, familiar voices and a football ground sitting quietly against one of Cumbria’s most dramatic backdrops. Stuart finds himself drawn to Keswick, perhaps even discovering a new favourite team, with “Brilliant” Bradley and the very “Skilled” Luke on the wing giving him plenty to admire. Can Keswick take the three points, or will Aspatria spoil the afternoon? Another Saturday. Another ground. Another story from football beyond the ninety minutes.
