Simulation of Drone Delivery Mission in Gazebo
In this video we write a drone delivery mission and test it on the Gazebo simulator. This is essentially the same dronekit python script we will be using in the field, with some slight modifications. The critical part of this drone delivery mission is the ability to precision land on a target once the drone reaches the desired waypoint. We use an aruco array at both the taco waypoint and the home waypoint, just as we will in the field when we test drone delivery on a real drone. This simulated drone is running ArduPilot, just like our real drone.
