Easy Glazed Halloween Popcorn Recipe [Jello Popcorn]

Easy Glazed Halloween Popcorn Recipe [Jello Popcorn] INGREDIENTS • 8 cups Air-popped popcorn • 1/4 cup Butter • 1/4 cup Light corn syrup • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar • 1- 3 oz packages Jello, your choice of flavors ( I used orange, lime and grape for Halloween) • (Food coloring, optional) PREPARATION STEPS 1. Measure 8 cups of popped popcorn into a large mixing bowl, set aside. 2. Measure 1/4 cup butter and 1/4 cup corn syrup together in a heavy bottomed, medium pan. Add 3/4 cup Granulated sugar and a pack of Jello, stir to combine. 3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then turn down to low and allow to simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. 4. If you’d like a more intense color, mix in a bit of food coloring at this point. 5. Carefully pour Jello mixture over the measured popcorn – be careful, it’ll burn you if you’re not careful. Mix well. 6. Spread popcorn out on a parchment lined cookie sheet, and bake each batch for 10 minutes at 350F. 7. Allow popcorn to cool, break popcorn up into pieces, and place in a large bowl or bag. 8. Repeat for as many colors as you want. I did once with lime, orange and grape jello. 9. Once cool, mix well if desired and decorate with sprinkles or confectionery eyes. 10. If you’re not using the popcorn right away, store it in an airtight container ASAP or package into baggies. 11. Note: If you don't want to bake, it will have a gooey texture, but still delicious.
