Damage of not changing the fuel filter: The fuel filter prevents the rust in the fuel tank from reaching the engine and other parts of the fuel system, thus keeping the gasoline clean and free of impurities that affect the quality of combustion in the engine cylinders. If changing the fuel filter is ignored, it may cause one or more of the following damages: 1- Fuel pump failure: Damage may occur to the gasoline pump (fuel pump) due to entry of impurities, dirt and water into the pump, and then its blade may be damaged. Also, clogging of the fuel filter prevents the correct amount of fuel from reaching the engine. The fuel pump will try to compensate for the malfunction in the fuel filter as it does not work properly, which leads to undue pressure on the fuel pump engine causing it to fail prematurely. 2-Weak engine torque: Simply put, for an engine to work efficiently it needs clean fuel, so when we provide it with fuel that has not been purified properly as a result of not changing the fuel filter, combustion will not occur as required and this will have an effect on the engine in terms of regular increase in pressure inside the combustion chamber leading to good combustion. However, if fuel burns at high speed, pressure in this case increases suddenly and rapidly creating a sudden heavy load on the piston (the bestem), which leads to a loud slap inside the combustion chamber (engine clatter). This condition damages the engine. 3- Difficulty starting the engine: Rarely does a bad fuel filter prevent your car’s engine from starting, but in a car where no fuel filter has ever been changed, a dirty filter can cause irregular fuel flow, leading to longer than usual rotation before starting."
