Did you know that a railway once ran through the mountains of San Juan, connecting one of the province's most isolated regions? Today, it lies completely abandoned, and very few know its history. In this documentary, we travel the entire length of the historic A7 branch line, the railway that linked the city of San Juan with Jáchal and which, for decades, was fundamental to the development of northern San Juan. Along the way, we visit abandoned stations, old railway housing, sidings, engineering works, incredible landscapes, and the vestiges of a railway that time seems to have forgotten. Built between 1921 and 1931, this branch line connected a region that had previously been practically isolated. After decades of service, the deterioration of the infrastructure, the 1944 earthquake, and the gradual closure of services ultimately condemned it to abandonment.
