Brazilian influencer Thiago Schutz, popularly known as Calvo do Campari on social media, was arrested in the act last Friday (28) in Salto, São Paulo. He is accused by his girlfriend Laís Gamarra of physical assault and attempted rape. The young woman reported that the crime occurred during an argument when she refused sexual relations with Thiago. According to an exclusive statement to Domingo Espetacular, Laís says that he reacted violently before the non-consensual attempts. The victim managed to escape to ask for police help while recording part of the situation on video. Laís decided to reveal her identity publicly not only to encourage other women facing similar situations to seek support, but also to seek protection and justice. The medical report confirmed multiple injuries caused by blunt force trauma to her body. Despite the serious accusations and evidence presented by Laís, Thiago was released under specific conditions: he must keep his distance from the victim and is prohibited from contacting her or frequenting nightclubs until a new court decision. The influencer's defense stated that he is fully cooperating with the investigations without commenting on details of the case due to legal advice received. Meanwhile, the victim's lawyer requested his preventive detention, alleging ongoing risks to her safety given the facts presented.
