2013-2018 Toyota Rav4 - 2.5 - Cooling System Service - Drain & Fill & Bleed
In today's video, we are working on a 2018 Toyota Rav4 with the 2.5-liter engine. The customer has requested that they wanted to do a cooling system service, drain and fill and bleed. You will be needing approximately 1.5 to 2 gallon jugs of Toyota Super Long Life Coolant to perform this service. On these vehicles a flush is not needed as a drain and fill is perfectly fine on these vehicles especially if routine maintenance has been performed. A coolant flush is only required when there is an issue in the cooling system such as poor heating performance, blocked heater core, issues with repeated failures of cooling system components such as the water pump, etc. This video is a step-by-step procedure on how to properly and safely drain, fill and bleed the cooling system on these vehicles.
