Vinted Kids Quilt - The Seller couldnt believe what I did with it

This project started with a children’s quilt I found on Vinted, dating from around 2010. It had two gorgeous prints—cupcakes on one side and cherries on the other—and I immediately saw the potential for a reversible jacket. Using the Rebecca Jacket pattern by Kobi Siani Sewing Patterns, I carefully planned the layout before cutting so I could make the most of every section of the quilt. The sewing itself was surprisingly straightforward once the planning was done. My goal was to waste as little as possible. I even reused the original quilt binding, ensuring almost every part of the quilt found a place in the finished garment. The best part? I shared the finished jacket with the Vinted seller, who was completely surprised to see what had become of the quilt she had sold.
