The final episode of our Croatia road trip. Our journey home from Italy to Switzerland begins smoothly, but just before the Gotthard Tunnel everything comes to a standstill. At first it looks like a normal traffic jam, but it soon becomes clear that traffic has been stopped because of an accident near the tunnel. A 2.5-hour wait on the motorway lies ahead. In situations like this, the advantages of travelling by camper van become obvious: water, your own toilet and a comfortable place to wait for traffic to start moving again.
