May 27, 2026 | Leaving Paris, Flying Home & The Airport Chicken Incident After an unforgettable adventure through Paris and Disneyland Paris, the day we had been avoiding has finally arrived… Today is our Sortie (Exit) from France as we begin the long journey home to Toronto. Like many travel days, we expected airports, security checkpoints, waiting in lines, and the usual chaos of international travel. What we did NOT expect was: 🐔 a poultry problem Yes… you read that correctly. Somehow, one of the most unexpected and hilarious moments of our entire trip happened inside Charles de Gaulle Airport, where airport security temporarily brought our passage to a standstill for reasons that you’ll get a few clucks out of… Meanwhile, the airport staff went above and beyond in helping my mother navigate the airport efficiently, making what could have been a stressful travel day much easier than expected. Their kindness and professionalism deserve special recognition.
