Tukaram Mundhe Puts Kitchens In Order Noor Mohammadi, Shalimar's Licenses Suspended. The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA), led by Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe, has intensified its crackdown on food safety violations across the state. Days after taking action against K. Rustom & Co., the FDA has now suspended the food licences of Mumbai's iconic Noor Mohammadi, Shalimar and Rahmania restaurants after inspections allegedly revealed serious hygiene and food safety lapses. Officials found issues including unhygienic kitchens, poor storage practices, missing food quality records, lack of pest control, oil residue, absence of drinking water testing records and several other violations. The action comes as part of a statewide enforcement drive in which food items worth ₹1.68 crore were seized.
