Touring Tsuwaji Island (Part 1 of 3) We visited Tsuwaji Island, an island on the western edge of Matsuyama, bordering Hiroshima and Yamaguchi prefectures. Tsuwaji Island is part of the Kutsuna Islands, covering an area of ​​2.85 km2 and with a population of 225 as of 2020. Formerly known as "Kamiwa Village" along with Nuwa Island and Futagami Island, it merged with Nakajima Town in 1959 (Showa 34) and was further incorporated into Matsuyama City in 2005 (Heisei 17). It is now part of Matsuyama City. This time, we took a ferry to Tsuwaji Island and drove along the circular road on the island's southeast side.
