PART-3 will follow later. The Ibanez S Prestige guitars of the early 2000s sound powerful yet musical, articulate and resonant with lots of sustain. The current and recent S Prestige guitar use five piece necks which sounds duller and less sustaining compared to the original S Prestige series introduced in the early 2000s. Also the QM1 and QM2 pickups were far better in my opinion. They sounded full with real punch and the 5 selector switch gives very musical combinations in addition to the humbucker sounds. The S1620FB Prestige was introduced by Ibanez in 2003. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line. The S1620 features a figured Bubinga top on a sculpted solid Mahogany tone wood body bolted to a hard rock quarter swan Maple and Bubinga Super Wizard neck with a Rosewood fingerboard, bindings and special S wave inlays at the twelfth fret. Components include a ball bearing pivot ZR double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS2 tuning stabilizer. The S1620FB was a limited production for 2003 and 2004 and was only sold in the USA Specifications for S1620FB Years offered: 2003–2004 Sold in: USA Made in: Japan Finish: Natural (NT) Body material: Mahogany with figured Bubinga top Neck type: Super Wizard Neck material: Hard rock quarter sawn Maple with extra hard Bubinga skunk and slotted angled headstock.
