The Cádiz-born choreographer has just returned from Osaka, where he presented his production "Debajo de los pies" (Under the Feet) to two thousand people at the Universal Exposition. She is the owner and one of the first dancers at the venue back in 1956, when it was run by writers, prime ministers, Nobel Prize winners, and Hollywood stars like Rock Hudson, who happened to be at the bar the night she made her debut as a child. The matriarch stops at the wall furthest from the stage, silently watching Guerrero dance without disturbing him. She lets out an "ooole!" at such a low volume that only I can hear it because I'm standing next to her. She doesn't say it to anyone, she just says it to herself, as if she can't help it.
