ESHPM research in the spotlight: Global Health
Prof.dr. Maarten IJzerman interviews prof.dr. Matthias Rieger and dr. Igna Bonfrer about their work in ESHPM's Global Health Research theme. There are big differences in health and access to healthcare around the world. In many low and middle-income countries, households are at a high risk of illness and when someone falls ill, they often can’t afford the care they need. Progress towards making healthcare available for everyone has been uneven. With the research theme Global Health ESHPM wants to reduce the gross inequalities in health between and within countries through multi-and interdisciplinary global health research.
