Red & Blue, featuring improved sprites, were released in Germany in 1999 for the Game Boy. This was followed by the first special edition, Pokémon Yellow, which, in addition to the first 151 Pokémon, included elements from the anime. After its enormous success, it wasn't long before Pokémon Gold and Silver were released for the Game Boy Color in the same year. This time, the setting was the Johto region, although it was also possible to explore a simplified version of Kanto. The number of known Pokémon increased with each generation. Following the special edition Pokémon Crystal, the third generation began in 2002 with the Sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald editions set in the Hoenn region on the Game Boy Advance. The Kanto remakes Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen were released in 2004, before the series continued in the Sinnoh region with Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum on the Nintendo DS in 2006. HeartGold and SoulSilver reimagined the Johto region for the DS in 2009, and the Black and White editions set in the Unova region ushered in the fifth generation in 2010. The sixth generation, set in Kalos, was released worldwide on October 12, 2013, for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, as were the Hoenn remakes Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire in 2014. The seventh generation, Pokémon Sun and Moon, was introduced in 2016 in the tropical Alola region, followed in November 2017 by two versions with alternate storylines, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon. In 2018, the series transitioned to the hybrid console Nintendo Switch. The first step was to introduce a new main series, Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!, which strongly appealed to nostalgic players, newcomers, and Pokémon Go players. Players revisit the Kanto region and enjoy the first adventure in HD. With "Pokémon Sword" and "Pokémon Shield," the eighth generation of Pokémon was finally launched on November 15, 2019, allowing players to explore the Galar region, based on Great Britain. The seemingly unnecessary Gigantamax feature and the fact that not all Pokémon from previous decades would be included in the game caused an uproar among players worldwide. After two DLCs the following year, the lackluster Gen 4 remakes "Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Luminous Pearl" in 2021, and "Pokémon Legends: Arceus" in January 2022, the ninth generation of Pokémon, based on Spain, began on November 18, 2022, with "Pokémon Crimson & Purple" in the Paldea region. For the first time, an open world without fixed objectives! It's up to the player when and how they complete "The Champion's Path," which focuses on the Gyms and the Pokémon League; "The Legendary Path," where powerful, giant Totem Pokémon must be defeated to find valuable Mystery Spices; and "The Starry Road," where Team Star guides wayward students back to the right path at the academy. A legendary mount Pokémon is available almost from the start, providing a mobile companion for exploring the world and its approximately 100 new Pokémon. . ... ▪ TITLE: Pokémon Purple ▪ DEVELOPER: Game Freak ▪ PUBLISHER: Nintendo & The Pokémon Company ▪ SYSTEM: Nintendo Switch ▪ GENRE: RPG ▪ OFFICIAL WEBSITE: bit.ly/3hGrhsN ▪ GERMANY RELEASE: November 18, 2022 ▪ METASCORE: 74% ▪ HASHTAGS: #pokemon #pokemonpurpur #pokemonviolet
