Dingir Xaataexoree - Lima Das, Jim Ankan Deka, Rupam Kalita, Pragyan Bezbaruah | Music Malt Live

Assamese actor Lima Das, Jim Ankan Deka, and Rupam Kalita joined forces to recreate an old Assamese masterpiece, 'Dingir Xaataexoree Paatae Mejaangkori,' for Music Malt Live Sessions. The song was originally composed by Late Mukul Barua with lyrics by Lila Gogoi and sung in 1966 by Mridula Das. The video for Music Malt is directed by Pragyan Bezbaruah. In Lima Das' words, "The challenge of live recording lies in capturing the essence of a performance accurately while dealing with potential technical issues and the pressure of getting it right the first time. Despite these challenges, there’s a certain authenticity and honesty in live performances that harkens back to a time when technology didn’t play as big a role in music production. Our humble effort to recreate the essence of live recording while revisiting a song sung by my mother (Mridula Das) back in 1966 is a heartfelt tribute to the timeless beauty of soul-stirring music of an era it represents."
