Why Rental Discrimination is Still Common in Singapore

The rental market in Singapore is not equally accessible to all races. Some Indian tenants in Singapore face discrimination renting as prospective landlords screen them based on race. As the pandemic draws out, the rental market is booming with an increasing pool of renters - permanent residents or long term pass holders returning to Singapore, or Malaysian workers who cannot travel between borders due to travel restrictions.
