Christmas Time is Here by Ryan Thomas on Tenor Sax
Just a taste of my upcoming Christmas album which is now on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/ry... As for the gear I'm using, the sax is a Yanagisawa T991 and it's mated to a Yanagisawa metal mouthpiece (7 tip opening) with a Vandoren Java 2 1/2 reed. To record the song, I used the sE Electronics 2200a II C microphone running through an RME Fireface UC into Logic Pro. A couple links for posterity: http://www.reverbnation.com/ryanthoma... / ryanthomasinc / philososaxter The band in the recording is a bunch of guys I know from college. Jordan Terrell on keys, Taylor Thompson on stand-up bass, and Jon Smalt on drums. They're insanely talented (in case you couldn't tell). Everything was recorded, mixed, and mastered at my studio with the help of Josh Frerichs. Thanks to Mwita Chacha at mwendoLLC.com for the awesome video!
