Since recording her first waiata Tōrere two years ago, her commitment to recording and releasing waiata has been unwavering. However, the pathway has not been without its challenges. Revisiting her hit, Made for Loving, to rerecord it in Māori with acclaimed singer and reo consultant Tawaroa Kawana, Georgia reveals for the first time the doubts and uncertainties she's grappled with as a Pākehā singing in te reo Māori. Questioning appropriateness and cultural boundaries, Georgia bravely reflects on her place in the movement to preserve and promote te reo Māori. Through introspection and collaboration, Georgia discovers that with genuine effort and a respectful approach, everyone can love te reo Māori and contribute to its revitalisation.
