20 years ago, entrepreneur Tiberiu Stoian was looking for just 5,000 personalized bags for his network of office supply stores. Today, the EXONIA factory in Iași produces over 25 million bags annually, exports to seven European Union countries and the USA, and has invested over 10 million euros in technological lines for biodegradable packaging. A significant part of these investments was made with the help of European funds, through programs managed by ADR Nord-Est, used for the acquisition of industrial equipment and the development of products considered unique in Eastern Europe.
