2019 Infiniti QX80 // full review and test drive // 100 rental cars

Type: Full-sized luxury SUV Seating: 7 (2 in the front, 2 in the middle and maybe 3 in the back. If you want to punish your passengers.) MSRP: Starting at $65,500 BRIEF HISTORY LESSON: Nissan had made the QX80 since 2004. Back then is was called the QX56. UNDER THE HOOD: Engine: 5.6L V8 Transmission: 7-speed automatic with overdrive and auto-manual Horsepower: 400 hp MPG City: 14 mpg city MPG Highway: 20 mpg highway Combined MPG: Fuel Tank Capacity: 26 gallons Fuel Type: Nissan recommend premium gas Cost for a full tank: $2.85/gallon (regular) x 26 = $74.10 HANDLING: Very comfortable and responsive. And despite the vehicles big size, its very easy to park. Includes cameras in the front, rear, and sides. ACCELERATION: Strong, smooth acceleration. You won't be the fasted vehicle on the road, but you'll still feel good when you slam on the accelerator. FINAL THOUGHTS: Really nice SUX, but my problem is the cost. This does not feel like a $65,000+ vehicle to me. It feels like a $40,000 with a few fancy upgrades. For me, that's not enough. I want an upgraded gauge cluster with a large screen that has displays more information about the vehicle, a top of the line touch screen, and simpler controls on the dash. And I want more storage options in the rear of the vehicle. But that's just me.
