Using Diodes as Clippers or Clampers | Intermediate Electronics

Diodes are very versatile and can be used for many things and this time, we're going to talk about using diodes as clippers and clampers. Diode clippers are used to "clip" the voltage while clampers "clamp" the voltage to the a desired DC voltage. Clamping is a weird word to use in this case, so perhaps easier to say that a clamper shifts AC waveforms to the desired DC offset.
