#humanknowledge #computerscience #informationtechnology ALAN TURING - COMPUTER SCIENCE episode 15 Alan Mathison Turing OBE FRS (23 June 1912 – 7 June 1954) was an English mathematician, logician and cryptographer, considered the father of computer science. His contribution to artificial intelligence, the Turing test, was a challenge to the question of whether machines can ever be conscious and think. He formalized the concepts of algorithms and computation with Turing machines, and proposed the now widely accepted "Turing" version of the Church-Turing thesis, which states that anything that can be computed by an algorithm can be computed by a Turing machine. During World War II, Turing worked at Bletchley Park, the British code-breaking centre, and was for a time the commander of Hut 8, the British section responsible for breaking German naval codes. He invented many techniques for breaking German codes, including the method of connecting code-breaking machines together into a bombe, an electromechanical machine for finding the settings for the Enigma machine. After the war, he worked at the National Physical Laboratory, and produced one of the first designs for a stored-program computer, but it was never built. In 1947 he moved to the Victoria University of Manchester to work, mostly on software for the Manchester Mark I, then one of the first modern computers, and became interested in mathematical biology. He wrote papers on the chemical basis of photosynthesis,[1] and he also predicted oscillating chemical reactions such as the Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction, which was first observed in the 1960s. ************************************ Videos on Information Technology • Giải thích bộ nhớ RAM | Bộ nhớ RAM là gì ?...
