I sprayed NeverWet hydrophobic coating on my splitboard topsheet to see if it would help keep this from happening and if there's any benefit we could get out of it. As it turns out it actually helped a lot, particularly on the hike up. The snow just didn't stick, ice didn't build up, and I didn't have to wipe snow off the board to keep the weight down. There wasn't as much of a benefit on the ride out, but I think its worth it for splitboarding or maybe even on powder focused snowboards. What do you think about this? Is this a waste or is it helpful? #snowboarding #splitboarding #boardarchive
