PET bottles, plastic cups, and empty cans will deteriorate over time, so it is recommended that you regularly replace the container. If using buckets or trash cans, lining the inside with a plastic bag and pouring the nutrient solution into it will prevent deterioration of the container and reduce the hassle of washing it.
