Hey everyone, join me on this first mountain ride I took on Sunday, February 22nd. I rode up to Saint-Jean-de-Sixt via the Petit-Bornand valley. This trail bike is easy to handle, even on mountain roads, and the suspension is comfortable, but I expected better with the stock seat. It's maneuverable despite its 253 kg weight (without the top case), and it handles well... the chassis is excellent, I feel confident. This DCT gearbox is well-designed and intelligent; it selects the right gear, downshifts before corners... and makes a beautiful sound that echoes off the rocks 😁. Summary: 0:00 Departure from the D5, exiting the Aravis expressway D916 5:58 Nâves-Parmelan 8:55 Villaz 14:19 D27 Route Saint-Laurent then D12 then Route des Gorges du Borne 20:43 Le Petit-Bornand-les-Glières 29:10 Entremont (still on the D12) and plug your ears... 34:14 D4 then arrival in Saint-Jean-de-Sixt 35:41 D909 towards Thônes/Annecy 36:29 Short break then I continue on the D216 which overlooks the main road 40:20 La Balme-de-Thuy 44:56 Dingy-Saint-Clair (still on the D216) 49:20 I rejoin the main road D16 - towards Annecy 54:17 I take my little Favorite route with this Africa Twin 56:31 End of video...see you later guys
