The Old Internet Was Way Weirder Than I Remember | S.A.U.C.E Files pt 1
Before apps, before feeds, before the algorithm knew what you eat at 2 a.m… the internet was just a hallway full of strange little doors. In the first episode of Sauce Files, I explore some of the weirdest old websites I could find and rank them using the official S.A.U.C.E. Method: S - Strangeness A - Are You Scared? U - Usefulness C - Could Your Grandma Understand This? E - Endurance / Did it age like a fine sauce? We visit old internet relics like Zombo.com, Superbad.com, JODI, and randomvideo.com to see which ones still have sauce… and which ones belong in the expired packet drawer. This is internet archaeology, but stupid. If you want more Sauce Files episodes, drop a weird old website in the comments and I’ll throw it into the pantry. Stay sauced. 0:00 The Old Internet Was Cursed 0:15 Explaining the S.A.U.C.E.
