FNAF Secret of the Mimic | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary

Check my other channel here    / @milogamereviews   We finally got a new chapter in the Five Nights at Freddy's universe and the third proper adventure game by Steelwool Studios. I am a huge fan of their Security Breach game and Secret of the Mimic takes an entirely different and original approach. The style is way more retro as we head into a theatre and warehouse where animatronics are made that can be purchased and leased. This marks the origins for many of the mascots we know and love and it was fascinating to check this out. Despite being on Unreal 4 the game looks gorgeous and detailed with so many things to see and secrets to find. It is not as detailed as something like Security Breach, but it was still a feast for the senses to explore all the different parts. We get to see many newcomers to the FNAF universe of which my favorites were undoubtedly Jackie and Nurse Dollie. They are both really awesome and well animated. Not to mention very creepy. I do wish there was more of Jackie in the game as he feels a bit underused. The game is also playable in VR and I do have to admit that this did result in some of the minigames feeling a bit repetitive and underwhelming. You will be shooting targets 4 times throughout the game and also the crane minigame outlasted its welcome. But the story, setting, atmosphere and exploration made up for it. I actually think that the chase sequences are some of the best in the series as they never feel frustrating and are always spectacular and fair. All in all I don't think it is as good as the first Security Breach, but it is definitely Steelwool's best game since then and also better than the Ruin DLC.
