Strengths & Weaknesses of the Sega Saturn

These are basic guidelines and there are always exceptions. Ask questions and do your research before you commit money to anything. 2. Sega really failed the western market in spectacular fashion. The games that had made the Sega Genesis were almost completely missing on Saturn. The ones the Saturn did get were of much lower quality. It was a debacle of rare caliber. 3. The Saturn takes a CR2032 coin-cell battery. It typically lasts a year or two. 4. The Saturn has a few third party controllers that are solid as well. Hori makes a few decent pads and their Fighting Stick SS is a fine arcade stick once it's cleaned up and serviced. 5. If your cartridge slot works great, keep 3rd party products out of it. It'll stay that way. 6. There has been some discussion about using products like Brasso on games and systems to clean them. Like anything, the proper use of these types of products means everything. Brasso on non gold contacts is fine as long as you clean it thoroughly and remove all residual paste and/or dirt. 7. Should you want an ODE option, I have found the MODE to be the best and most compatible product for the Saturn. It simply works. 8. Some people love the NA garage case. It looks good on a shelf for sure. They still suck, however.
