Former CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik, who was removed from his post by court order, visited a market and shopkeepers in Eyüpsultan. During the visit, when a citizen reacted to the removal of Ekrem İmamoğlu's poster and asked about Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Çelik responded, "How would I know? He's gone and become part of the palace alliance." Çelik continued, "Our position is in the hearts of the people; our position is in the squares, streets, markets, and shopkeepers... Not a single person has objected to me seeing the badge on my lapel, my CHP identity, my identity as a member of the leading party in Turkey. They all pat us on the back.
