fox and coyote trapping...bedding a foothold trap in peat moss

follow up catch video:    • Fox Trapping Catches and Remakes, Virginia...   On the line with my two young sons....just a brief demonstration of how I bed my traps in peat moss. There are a lot of benefits to using peat and this way bedding has worked great for me for years. This set is a double dirthole so the trap is placed directly between the 2 holes about 7 inches back. This set is a fox location using a fully modified (by me) sleepy creek 1 3/4. This is exactly how I make coyote sets except usually using an MB 550. The meat poss kept this set open for a couple of weeks of heavy rain and freeze thaw. Light salting after a rain/thaw is necessary with freeze temps.
