Reportage: De schimmige handel in Uber-accounts

Who's actually behind the wheel of your Uber taxi? Even Uber can't always tell, according to AT5 research. Due to a brisk trading of accounts, an estimated hundreds of drivers drive around using the app under someone else's name. This trading takes place between acquaintances, but also via the Telegram app. Account holders lease their login details for amounts between 75 and 125 euros a week, drivers report. This allows the lease holders to bypass Uber's checks and still carry out rides without the necessary taxi papers. A taxi isn't even necessary.
