Introducing SharePoint Copilot Apps - Going beyond text in Microsoft 365 Copilot

šŸ“ŗ Going beyond text in Microsoft 365 with SharePoint Copilot Apps Microsoft 365 Copilot is brilliant at working with language. But work isn’t only words, sometimes you don’t want to describe what you need in a back-and-forth chat – you want to see it, touch it, and act on it right where you already are. Picture approving an expense, checking your remaining leave, or booking a desk – without ever leaving the chat to hunt for the right tool. That’s now possible with the UX components in the Copilot canvas. We’re excited to introduce SharePoint Copilot Apps – a new way to bring rich, interactive UX components directly into the Copilot canvas, powered by the SharePoint Framework (SPFx). This is all based on industry standards with MCP Apps, including automatic hosting, enterprise security and compliancy. Public preview of SharePoint Copilot Apps will be available in early July 2026 with preview of SPFx 1.24. šŸ“ƒ Agenda 00:00 intro 02:09 SharePoint Framework 04:36 SharePoint Copilot Apps 08:25 Example scenarios 11:25 Live demo 17:57 Summary ✨ Presenters • Bert Jansen (Microsoft) | Ā Ā /Ā bertjansenĀ Ā  • Vesa Juvonen (Microsoft) | Ā Ā /Ā vesajuvonenĀ Ā  šŸ“– Learn more • Going beyond text in Microsoft 365 Copilot – Introducing SharePoint Copilot Apps - https://devblogs.microsoft.com/micros... • Introduction to SharePoint Copilot Apps developer experience -    • IntroductionĀ toĀ SharePointĀ CopilotĀ AppsĀ de...Ā Ā  • SharePoint Framework - https://aka.ms/spfx #sharepoint #microsoft365 #copilot #spfx #mcp #agents šŸ’” Learn more about the Microsoft 365 & Power Platform community • Microsoft 365 & Power Platform Unified Sample gallery: https://aka.ms/community/samples • Microsoft 365 & Power Platform: https://aka.ms/community/home • Microsoft Community Learning in YouTube: https://aka.ms/community/youtube Sharing is caring!
