Size 1 year Back Cast on 50 stitches, work in 1/1 rib stitch for 8 rows. After continuing to work in stockinette stitch until the needle measures 23 cm, begin to form the raglan armhole by decreasing 1 stitch on each side (as shown in the video) on all right side rows until there are 22 stitches on the needle (35 cm). Set these stitches aside. Front Cast on 50 stitches, work in 1/1 rib stitch for 8 rows. 9th row: knit 9, (purl 2, purl 4, purl 2), knit 16, (purl 2, purl 4, purl 2), knit 9 10th row: knit 9, (purl 2, purl 4, purl 2), knit 16, (purl 2, purl 4, purl 2), knit 9 The 9th and 10th rows are preparatory; we will now begin counting the first row of the worked stitch sequence. 1st row: knit 9, (purl 2, leave 2 stitches on hold, purl 2, return the 2 stitches on hold to the needle and knit them, purl 2) knit 16, (purl 2, leave 2 stitches on hold, purl 2, return the 2 stitches on hold to the needle and knit them, purl 2), knit 9. 2nd row: 9p, (2p, 4p, 2p), 16p, (2p, 4p, 2p), 9p 3rd row: 9p, (2p, 4p, 2p), 16p, (2p, 4p, 2p), 9p 4th row: 9p, (2p, 4p, 2p), 16p, (2p, 4p, 2p), 9p On the 5th row, repeat the pattern from the 1st row. Continue working the repeat of these 4 rows until you reach 23 cm. Begin forming the raglan armhole in the same way as on the back. When you have 44 stitches on the needle, divide the stitches to form the collar, working the sections separately, with 24 stitches on the right side. Work the last 4 stitches in moss stitch to form the buttonhole. Simultaneously, continue casting off the stitches for the raglan and cable until you have 13 stitches on the needle. Set aside the stitches. Return the 20 stitches to the left side of the needle and pick up 4 stitches behind the previously worked cable of the first section. These 4 stitches should also be worked in moss stitch to form the other section. Work this section in the same way as the first, forming the raglan and cable until you have 13 stitches on the needle. Set aside. Sleeve Cast on 30 stitches and work 8 rows in 1/1 rib stitch. Continue working in stockinette stitch. Every 8 rows, increase 1 stitch at the beginning and another at the end of the row 5 times, until you reach 23 cm (40 stitches). At this point, begin forming the raglan armholes by casting off 1 stitch at the beginning and another at the end of all right side rows (as shown in the video) until you have 12 stitches on the needle. Set aside. Collar On a circular needle, pick up all 72 stitches from the waiting stitch in the following order: 1 front side, sleeve, back, sleeve, and another front side. Work in moss stitch for 6 cm (or more if you prefer a larger collar). Assembly First, sew the raglan armholes, then sew the sides of the body and sleeves.
