Mark Hearld Inspired : Gelli Print Collage Cut-Paper Technique

030 This cut paper collage "village" was inspired by British artist Mark Hearld and features a bold, black-and-white paper cut design layered over a Rex Ray inspired background. I used Gelli Plate prints, hand carved stamps, and a simple paper cut technique to create a whimsical village scene framed by birds, branches, and flowers. The linocut inspired imagery and neutral colors give the piece a striking graphic contrast, while pen work adds final details and definition.
