Diplo talks "Paper Planes" with Paul Simonon & Mick Jones of The Clash
Diplo recently linked with two founding members of The Clash—Paul Simonon and Mick Jones—to make a song with Frank Ocean for Converse's Three Artists, One Song series. The song, called "Hero," premieres today. Yesterday the ReggaeGirlAboutTown sat down with Diplo, Paul, and Mick to talk about the record that first brought them in touch—"Straight to Hell" by The Clash, which Diplo sampled for M.I.A.'s smash hit "Paper Planes. They went on to discuss the links between reggae, punk rock, and hip-hop, and even named their favorite reggae artist.
