As far as we're concerned, from what I see, we're suffering an erosion whose extent I don't yet know. I see that the latest Doxa gives me less than one point, but erosion nonetheless. I believe this is due to a clear setback in the northern regions under the offensive that was conducted -- and which then led, among other things, to such a resounding success for the Northern League. The first comment that can be made is that, as things stand, there isn't an easily identifiable majority. We can make a slew of hypotheses; perhaps it's too early; certainly, the problem of forming a majority and a government is very difficult to resolve. I can only add, of course, that we have suffered an erosion. Other parties, other major parties in the country, are suffering much more significant losses. And yet this new picture presents us with a particularly confusing situation. -- Well, during the election campaign you actually warned against this danger of confusion among lists, programs, and ideas, and you denounced the risk of fragmentation. What do you think are the reasons for this vote, which is precisely as fragmented as you feared? Yes... but we are faced with a vote, and votes must be respected, and we must try to understand the reason. The vote, even if it was disorganized and then dispersed, nevertheless contains an element of widespread, evident protest, which has also been cited and perhaps even exaggerated by the populist.
