This is your complete guide to Utila! In this video I’ll go through all the dive shops and their costs, the best places to eat, the beaches, the best bars on the island, things to do In Utila, how to get to Utila, how much things cost in Utila and finally I’ll tell you how much I spent in 2 months in Utila! Of course I didn’t include every restaurant in Utila, but I included my favourites/the ones I felt were worth mentioning. I did forget about one that I feel I should’ve mentioned, and that is Buccaneers. They have some really tasty drinks here and I used to use the wifi here quite regularly (not for teaching) as it was a bit faster than other places. I also want to say for any vegans, that it is not too difficult to be vegan in Utila, but sometimes they forget you asked for no cheese or sauce, and give it to you anyway. Whilst I was travelling, I learnt to just deal with this and to not send it back because a) I didn’t want to be rude, but b) the product had already been used so it felt silly wasting it and all the other products used to make the dish (unless it was meat - I couldn’t have eaten that 🤢- luckily they never accidentally gave me meat though!), and c) I don’t want to make them lose out on business by making a “free meal”. Also, a couple of times, things came with eggs and it wasn’t specified on the menu so if this would really bother you, then make sure to ask before you order ☺️ Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video!
