An instrumental cover version of the song "Krokoveye Koleso" from the soundtrack to the Ukrainian animated film "Mavka. The Forest Song" (2023, Animagrad (FILM.UA Group), composer of musical themes: Dario Vero). In the original, the ethnic band DakhaBrakha sings in the "Krokove Koleso" and the flute of Maksym Berezhniuk sounds. In my instrumental cover, I tried not only to play, but also to extend this wonderful, but short composition to some extent, I wanted to improvise on a given theme, and the result was a variation for the low whistle, which fit into the middle of the work. Also, this work (a cover with a variation on "Krokoveye Koleso") was awarded a first-degree diploma for winning the folklore and ethnographic festival "From Christmas to Epiphany" in the nomination "Instrumental Performance", category "Amateurs" (the festival was organized by Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, December 1, 2023 - January 19, 2024). The instruments featured in this cover are the soprano sopilka by master Vasyl Nahirny, the alto f sopilka by master Oleh Melnyk, and the low whistle by MK Kelpie.
