The second part of "Good Fortune Angya!!" – a series wishing for good luck in 2025. We'll be visiting shrines and temples related to this year's zodiac sign, the snake, and drawing fortune slips to predict our fortunes. First, we headed to Otoyama Shrine in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, a shrine with rare guardian snake statues, even in Kyoto. After praying for health and longevity at the main hall, we tried our luck with a snake fortune slip! What were the results?! Next, we visited Demachi Myoondo in Kamigyo Ward. Since the messenger of the principal deity, Benzaiten, is a snake, the hall is surrounded by snake paintings. The fortune slips here are said to be the toughest in Kyoto, with 30 out of 100 being bad luck! Finally, we went to Nittai-ji Temple in Higashiyama Ward, a temple corresponding to the snake in the Rakuyo Twelve Zodiac Myoken. Moriwaki clasps his hands together in prayer to Myoken Bodhisattva and then vigorously strokes the Nadeshiko statue, which is said to bring good fortune and wealth. What kind of luck will he attract with his fortune slip?!
