And again, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'" 10:28 He said to him, "You have answered correctly; do so, and you will live." 10:29 Then, desiring to defend himself, he asked Jesus, "But who is my neighbor?" 10:30 Jesus answered and said to them, "A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers who stripped him, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 10:31 By chance a certain priest was going down that road; and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 10:32 Likewise also a Levite, passing by the same place, saw him, and passed by on the other side. 10:33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was; and when he saw him, he had compassion on him. 10:34 He went to him, bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 10:35 The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, 'Look after him; and whatever more you spend, I will repay you on my way back.' 10:36 Which of these three, do you think, was neighbour to the man who fell among the robbers? 10:37 He said to him, "The one who showed him mercy." Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise."
