I knew going in that the song would be beautiful and melodic, but nothing could have prepared me for how deep it hit. Ren has this uncanny ability to reach into my brain and steal my thoughts - and he did it again. This song took me straight back to one of the hardest seasons of my life: dealing with the loss of my mother and processing a wave of struggles that all crashed down at the same time. The lyrics put poetic words to exactly the thoughts and feelings that were rolling through my head during all of that. It's like Ren handed me a mirror and said, "Here - this is what you were feeling." He didn't just write a song.
