The goal is to help you gain better control over your speech in the moment. 1. Understanding the Core Concept There is a concept often used in speech training called speech muscle activation. Your speech depends on three main areas: Mouth Lips Tongue When you feel nervous or anxious, these areas can become tense. This tension can lead to speech blocks, hesitation, or difficulty starting words. By activating these muscles before speaking, you can make your speech feel more natural and easier to initiate. 2. Exercise 1: Mouth Activation (3 Seconds) This is a quick and simple warm-up. Slightly exaggerate your mouth opening Stretch your mouth wide for 2–3 repetitions Focus on loosening the jaw and facial muscles This helps improve mouth movement and openness, which supports smoother speech flow. If you're in public, you can do this discreetly by covering your mouth. 3. Exercise 2: Lip Activation (5–10 Repetitions) This is helpful if you feel stuck on sounds like: P, B, M, F Gently vibrate your lips (like a soft “brrr” sound) Repeat 5 to 10 times This improves lip flexibility and coordination, making it easier to start words that rely on lip movement. 4. Exercise 3: Tongue Activation (10 Repetitions) Some words require quick and flexible tongue movement. Create a light rolling or vibrating sound using your tongue Repeat around 10 times This helps reduce stiffness and improve tongue mobility during speech. 5.
