This House Smelled Like Cigarettes and Pee... So I Tore Out the Floors | BV Remodel Ep. 6

Episode 6 of the BV Remodel starts with the first snow of the season—and one of the worst problems I’ve run into yet. The house had a strong pet urine and cigarette smell that had fully soaked into the subfloor and walls. In this episode, I tear out the damaged subfloor, install proper blocking so the new floor has solid support, and start sealing everything to eliminate the odor for good. I also clean the walls with TSP to remove years of smoke buildup and reset the space before rebuilding. This project has been a constant mix of setbacks and progress, but this was a big turning point toward actually moving forward. Follow along as I rebuild this mountain house from the ground up.
