I wasn't used to fasting, and when I began to pursue earthly pursuits and self-interest, the Lord began to show me tremendous things that had been hidden. I began to perceive another world that is thousands of times more powerful than this one, and I also began to understand how God wanted me closer and in a more solid relationship with Him. Fasting allowed me to experience in just a few months what I hadn't experienced or learned in my entire life.
