The Twin Towers of Raila, the Meadows of Shangarh & a Secret Waterfall | Sainj Valley

Keeping Deohari as our base, we head across the valley and up the opposite mountain to the village of Raila and the Twin Towers of Dhaliara Kothi. These magnificent structures tower over the landscape and really make you think about what life was like hundreds of years ago. Driving further into valley, we move towards the most iconic place in all of Sainj - the rolling meadows of Shangarh and the grand Shangchul Mahadev Temple. We end our trip at a secret waterfall - a favourite spot of the locals. Not many home-stays are functioning at the moment, but we found a really warm and extremely friendly family to stay with.
